Despite Matthew almost wilfully misunderstanding the topic for this week’s Electronic Wireless Show podcast, we manage to settle down and talk about the games we’d most like to have toy sets of. What game d’you think would be the best Lego set? Action figures? Obscure 80s and 90s toy? Oh, we have fun on this show. Diversions this week are predictably about toys we had as kid, including a very long sidebar about Mighty Max, and Matthew’s reverse-engineered Boglin hatred derived from his sad childhood....

We’re getting the PlayStation 5 remake The Last Of Us: Part One is heading to PC. The news leaked out earlier this evening but was then officially announced as part of the Summer Games Fest. The good news is that our favoured platform will receive the same fancified version as is being developed for PlayStation 5; the bad news is that while the PlayStation 5 version has a September 2nd release date, there’s no confirmed date for the PC version yet....

So quite the departure then? Yes and no. V Rising strikes out as its own thing, but Stunlock’s back catalogue definitely bleeds into its combat and exploration and easygoing attitude....

It’ll launch on October 28th - and unlike recent Call Of Duty games, it’ll be coming to Steam. That’s a “gameplay” trailer, and although in-game, it contains little of what I’d describe as gameplay. It mostly seems to show in-engine cutscenes or fancy, swooping camera movements created for the trailer....
