Cursed To Golf will aim for the fairway this August

You felt under par, and now you must come below par Here’s the vid: Setting aside the thematic twists, Cursed To Golf looks to have the trappings of a roguelite. You’ll have choice over which holes you progress to next, you’ll purchase ‘Ace Cards’ that give you extra shots and explosives among other things, and you’ll have to deal with more than just sandtraps beside the fairway. There are spike traps, courses in which you golf on the ceiling, and much more....

Heroes Of The Storm will no longer receive new content

Blizzard’s MOBA enters maintenance mode Heroes Of The Storm, Blizzard’s take on the MOBA, is entering its dotage. In a shortnews post, Blizzard say they’re going to keep the game running, but “there are no plans for new for-purchase content” and future patches will focus on bug fixes. “Moving forward we will support Heroes in a manner similar to our other longstanding games,StarCraftand StarCraft II,” says the post. “In the future, we’ll continue seasonal rolls and hero rotations, and while the in-game shop will remain operational there are no plans for new for-purchase content to be added....

Hitman 3 gets a new free pirate-themed level later this month

Plus a time-limited Hitman1 level Hitman 3and its closely-related predecessors already contain more murder sandboxes than I can handle, but IO Interactive continue to add more for free. Later this month, Hitman 3 receives Ambrose Island, a tropical island home to a “dangerous pirate syndicate” and whole new level level for Agent 47 to wreak his sneaky havoc within. Here’s the trailer introducing the map: Agent 47 heads to Ambrose Island to “help an old friend rectify his mistake”, which I’m guessing he accomplishes the only way 47 would know how: by killing people via thematically-appropriate paraphernalia like a bizarro-world Guybrush Threepwood....

Team Fortress 2 received another exploit-fixing update

Years-old bugs resolved Team Fortress 2has received another update, one which apparently addresses “exploits and stability issues” with Valve’s aging but popular shooter. It’sthe second TF2 update in as many weeksafter the game’s players began protesting a lack of action to address the large number of exploits plaguing the game. Actual cats made this cat-finding hidden object game, or so I'm told

A Building Full Of Cats, made by cats for humans? A team of actual real-life cats have apparently released a video game, and who am I to question marketing?A Building Full Of Catsdoes seem like a game cats might make, a hidden object game with so very many cats to ‘pet’ (find and click on). It’s some nice cat-clicking for under £2. A Building Full Of Cats contains apartments absolutely heaving with cats....

Boris Johnson's resignation is already in that Duke Nukem 3D level

Duke Smoochem 3D dumps the prime minister from a zipline to a skip I’ve said before thatthe greatest chronicle of English culture is a Duke Nukem 3D level, and that continues to be true. In a bleak country full of absurd events happening at breakneck pace, modder Dan Douglas is doing his best to capture them in his level,Duke Smoochem 3D. Barely a day after British prime minister Boris Johnson announced his intent to resign, Douglas has already added it to his yet-unfinished level....

Dell's excellent S2721DGFA 27-in 1440p 165Hz monitor is down to £299

A Fast IPS panel means TN-like motion clarity, but IPS colours and viewing angles. Dell’s excellent S2721DGFA FreeSync/G-Sync Compatible gaming monitor, a 27-in 1440p 165Hz model that hits the current sweet spot for price versus performance, is down to £299 at Dell UK. That’s £80 below its normal price there, and £38 cheaper than the same monitor on Amazon. Here’s why I rate this monitor so highly. I'd play all the fake games Valve made up for the Steam Summer Sale

Well, almost all I swear I saw the logo for Small Claims Court and just thought, yeah, that seems like an indie game. Turns out it wasn’t, it was one of several pieces of “fake game art” created by Valve artist Claire Hummel as part of the Steam summer sale. Now that the sale is over, Hummel shared all of the made-up key art on Twitter, and it’s all great....

Plus card battler Ancient Enemy Head on over to the Epic Games Store this week and you’ll find two free games and a feeling of deja vu. The games areAncient EnemyandKilling Floor 2, and it’s the latter that triggered the memory trip for me - becauseit was also free on Epic this week two years ago. Madison review: entertaining horror that's a bit too clever for its own good

Buddy, I wish this camera lied Madisonis a fun game to write about. It’s a puzzle horror game set in your traditional haunted house, aiming at aP.T.or Layers Of Fear vibe down the viewfinder of a Polaroid camera. Said camera was a second-hand gift for Luca’s (that’s you!) 16th birthday. It is also possessed by a demon, which is where the fun comes in, “fun” here meaning jump scares and hallucinatory clocks....
