This 2D Soulslike left me howling (and not in a good way) I had hoped to bring you a proper review ofMoonscarstoday, the new 2D Soulslike from indie studio Black Mermaid. But alas, both time and its ferociously difficult combat have got the better of me, so you’ll have to settle for some impressions instead. Rick And Morty’s Rick Sanchez is classed as a mage, so you’ll primarily be using him to fight from a distance and confuse your opponents. You shouldn’t have to worry about knockback from firing his blaster though, as today’s patch continues the adjustments the devs have been making to the game’s projectile system and adds a new Light Projectile weapon classification. Light Projectiles, such as Rick’s uncharged blaster and pies chucked by the Never-Ending-Pie-Throwing-Robot assist item, don’t suffer knockback when fired....

To space out the seasonal discounts Steam is ditching its annual Lunar New Year sale next year, opting instead for a new spring sale. That means the digital storefront will now have sales for all four seasons, and Valve have also outlined the dates for the next three major sales events. Valveoutlined the news in a post on the Steamworks blog. “The addition of a Spring Sale was a popular request from our developer and publisher community,” reads the post....

Now being held at youth detention centre The 17-year-old suspected of hacking Rockstar Games and leaking footage ofGrand Theft Auto 6has pled not guilty to the charge of computer misuse. He has reportedly pled guilty to breaching bail conditions however and is now being held in a youth detention centre. “The 17-year-old who appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on 24th September has pleaded guilty to breaching his bail conditions and not guilty to computer misuse,” said detective inspector Michael O’Sullivan of City of London Police’s Cyber Crime Unit in astatement given to Eurogamertoday....

Cosplay as your Best Girl, hear the anime’s music on the radio, and more A great many newCyberpunk 2077mods are adding bits and pieces from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the new ultraviolent spin-off anime series. Various mods let V dress up as characters from Edgerunners and wield their weapons, as well as adding music, adverts, and more to the game world. Players old and new have flocked to the dystopian RPG since Edgerunners debuted on Netflix earlier this month, and I imagine more than a few might want to cosplay as their Best Girl (a controversial topic which I dare not broach)....

It’s back again, in-person and digitally The next E3 in-person event’s happening at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC), but it’s split into two sections. They’re called Business Days and Gamer Days. Starting on June 13th to get the show going, the Business Days run until the 15th. These are intended for people working in the games industry to connect, network and meet up. It gives the media a chance to take a look at the latest and potentially greatest new games in development too....
