Except churches. Those are smaller I had a single, relaxing weekend with citybuilder Kingdoms And Castlesalmost six years ago, and I still look back on it as if it was a revitalising holiday I took. A city break, if you will. Likewise, six years later and Kingdoms And Castles is still getting updates. The Infrastructure & Industry update was released earlier today, and it adds several community-suggested buildings. As the name suggest, this update is all about offering new options to city construction and economy....

Hardcore, casual, beards Valheim’s latest update to the public test branch adds a new merchant: Hildir, the sister of existing dwarven trader Haldor. Hildir offers up fashionable items of clothing to buy, but the more exciting part of the update is its new difficulty levels, which let you try the open world multiplayer survival sim in either easy or hard modes. Hard mode will increase enemy health and damage output, while normal mode will keep them at their previous levels....

With three new maps On June 27th, Riot’s hero shooterValorantwill get a team deathmatch mode. Teams of five will be able to do battle without the need to buy weapons at the start of each round, Counter-Strike-style, as they do in the main game. There will also be three new maps to play on. 173 hours of progress slain by “environment” Just one week afterDiablo 4’s first level 100 Hardcore character was killed by a lost connection, the game has brutally (and unfairly) claimed another Hardcore character. UnlikeCarn’s Barbarian, Quin69’s Druid wasn’t level 100 yet, but he was pretty darn close at level 91. His Druid had 172 hours and 50 minutes of play time. That’s more than a week’s worth of playing and the game’s only been out for 10 days (or 15, if we’re including early access)....

I spend quite a lot of my timethinking about dice games, so my attention was piqued by the new demo forDicefolk- a sort of Pokémon battler but with dice (and also it’s a roguelike). The gist is this: you form a party of cute-looking chimeras, before battling them against other cute-looking (but not as cute as yours, obvs) chimeras. Those battles play out a lot like the classic turn-based attacks of Pokémon, but are controlled with a set of dice....
