Good news for Steam Deck players Automated construction simFactorionow has controller support. Originally added to the experimental branch with update 1.1.87, it’s now available on the main stable release. Among other benefits, it means the all-consuming management game should now work better on Steam Deck. You can change the current input method in-game by going to Settings > Controls, according to thepatch notes. You can also turn on “contextual hotkey hints”, which adds icons to the interface to indicate what controller buttons perform certain actions....

The original hide and seeker Cult classic horrorClock Toweris getting a remaster next year and releasing outside of Japan for the first time since its 1995 debut. Announced at last night’s Limited Run Games showcase, the remaster retains the point-and-clicking bones of the original (16-bit art and creepy child monster) while adding some new meat onto the skeleton (translations, animated cutscenes, and an art gallery.) Clock Tower casts you as Jennifer, an orphan who arrives at the spooky titular mansion along with some other recently adopted children....

Closed beta coming next month There are some framerate issues throughout, which I think is understandable for an alpha, and a fair trade-off for getting to see a lot of footage rather than a tightly edited trailer. After watching, I remain interested in Solar Crown mainly for its claimed 1:1 recreation of Hong Kong, which it’s hard to get a sense of in the footage. The TDU games were better as relaxing driving experience than as racing games, and I’m still keen to just tool around in its world....

Back again The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is appealing therecent US court orderthat gave Microsoft the green light to close their proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Earlier this week, the case’s federal judge denied the request for a preliminary injunction against Microsoft and said the FTC had not successfully proven the deal could “substantially lessen competition.” The FTC’s appeal decision adds an extra bump in the buyout’s road, which currently has a deadline of July 18th....
