Back on track WipeOut Phantom Edition builds a brand new PC version out of the original WipeOut’s PlayStation source code, resulting in a look and feel much closer to the console release than its subpar original port. As well as rasterization and blending accurate to WipeOut 1’s PlayStation graphics, and music and sound effects more akin to the PSX audio, albeit with add spatial 3D options, the Phantom Edition also introduces a number of far more modern features and elements....

Promising UI improvements Dominions 6is in development and is expected to release “at the end of the year.” The low-key announcement was made on Steam’s Dominions 5 discussion forum, with designer Kristoffer Osterman saying that the next iteration of the fantasy 4X would have “more changes than any previous version, both mechanics-wise and UI/QoL-wise.” “We would like to announce that development of Dominions 6 is well under way,” writes Ostermanin the post....

Clock Tower is about a young woman, Jennifer Simpson, exploring a large manor home while trying to avoid being killed by a “shears-wielding psychopath” called Scissorman. Players control Simpson, who has no weapons with which to fight back, and must find hiding spots and traps around the house to evade the murderer. Let’s call it Wee Man With Big Scissors: Isolation. The port will be translated into five languages, feature new “motion-comic cutscenes”, save states, and a new animated opening from the project’s creative lead, Mariel Cartwright....

I use a very similar kit of Corsair Vengeance RAM in my own PC, and it’s been a great performer - fast, with room to push the timings even lower, and very stable too. Note that this particular set of RAM supports AMD’s EXPO, a kind of equivalent to Intel’s XMP that automatically sets an ‘overclocked’ memory speed and timings (ie DDR5-6000 CL30 in this case), but it should work fine on both Intel and AMD systems - I just popped the EXPO sticks I had into an Intel 12700K build and had no issues setting XMP as normal on an MSI motherboard....
