No sooner is the opening cross-country sprint complete that your mechanic attempts a heart-to-heart chat from the passenger seat, and by the time you’ve sped back to base, you’ve opened up about your mother’s illness and a desire to return to the city that cast you out....

Joke’s on me I’ll admit I’ve been a bit sceptical ofLoco Motivesince it wasfirst announceda little while ago. Any point and clickadventure gamethat makes a bid trying to be funny like the good old days has a very real chance of being painfullyunfunny in my experience (looking at you,Deponia), and I was worried that Loco Motive would fall into the same try-hard pile as other so-called comedy adventures that have come out recently (see also Turnip Boy - yeah, I went there, fight me)....

Welcome to The Fungle Among Usis preparing to drop the first new map for the viral game of tasks ‘n’ traitors in over two years - and there’s a bit of a Mario vibe to its world of strange beaches and mushroom jungles. The Fungle plonks players’ treacherous beans onto a planet filled with colourful mushrooms, beaches filled with hermit crabs and killer plants. Between the many, many mushrooms, piranha-plant like flora and beaches, I couldn’t help but think of levels from the Mario series - though I’m not sure the chirpy plumber would last five minutes before being shanked in the back....

In time for its Season 2 Ahead ofDiablo 4’s jump from Battlenet onto Steam in just a few days’ time, Blizzard has confirmed that its demon-slaying action-RPG will be fully Steam Deck Verified when it lands.
