If I never write about video games ever again, let this be my final plea
Because you make me use your store client… When I tick the box telling your unwanted launcher to remember my password, make it remember my chuffing password.

No rest for Moon Studios either No Rest For The Wicked, the top-downsoulslikethat released yesterday in Steamearly access, is already seeing its fair share of performance and QOL issues, including instability, lack of keybinding options, and players losing their progress. In response, developer Moon Studios have put out ablog sayingthat, yes, they’re aware of the problems and, yes, they’re actively looking to address the most common hiccups. In a section titled “Known Issues We’re Already Looking to Address,” the blog lists performance hitches and lack of options to pause in single player or rebind keys, as well as plans to add more aspect ratios and missing localisation....
Got them early access growing pains Lured like an unsatisfied sailor by the siren song ofalleged performance woes, I’ve been givingNo Rest for the Wickeda cursory benchmarkin’, and yes! The isometricARPGdoessuffer from all the early access wonkiness you’ve likely heard about already today. I haven’t personally witnessed every single transgression listed by developers Moon Studios in theirknown issues blog post, helpfully posted justafterthe game went on sale, but there’s clearly more to be done in tackling No Rest for the Wicked’s slowdown and stuttering....

Devs need more time to polish after fixing crashes stemming from stability troubles It seems thatPrison Architect 2is going method in its approach to launching the 3D sequel to the jailhousemanagement game, as - like its inmates - it just can’t seem to secure a solid release. Originally due to arrive in March, beforebeing pushed into May, developers Double Eleven have now shunted it all the way back to September....
Plus fixes and changes for modders It’s starting to feel like ConcernedApe (aka Eric Barone) may in fact be a modern day Sisiphus, destined to work onStardew Valleyforever. Following on from the megaupdate of 1.6 a month ago, and1.6.3 soon after that, the hardy perennialfarminggame has a new 1.6.4 mini update. The key addition this time is more new layouts that will appear after you reach the bottom of the mines, and more layouts for the volcano mines too....
Yoshitaka Murayama passed away in February ahead of this month’s release for Hundred Heroes Eiyuden Chronicles, theRPGseries that’seffectively a sequel-slash-spiritual successorto nineties and early noughties JRPG classicSuikoden, will continue with a sequel despite the death of its creator earlier this year. “We want to maintain his legacy and vision with this game and know that he would have wanted the rich world he has created withEiyuden Chronicleto live on,” Rabbit & Bearwrote at the time....
Dive into an alien experience with Corru.Observer What I like about browser games is that clicking on a word in this mundane piece of software could take you anywhere, to anything. For example, if you click onthis link to the domain corru.observer, you’ll find yourself in a dark room before a strange glowing device. Apparently it’s your job to do… something with it? So begins one of the most surprising and delightful games I’ve played all year, a sprawling, shape-shifting sci-fi story which is still unfolding through updates....
I have found the spoon of legend Neverlooted Dungeonis anrpggame in which you can shoot a crossbow from a first person perspective. This, I imagine, was the pitch it used when trying to blag its way past the thermodynamically powered golem wearing aDaikatanat-shirt that guards the gates of Steam’scurrently-runningFPSfest. Whatever the excuse, this silver tongued rascal succeeded, and is now nestled comfortably between umpteen boomer shooter revivals, trying to squeezeUltimafactoids into the conversation....
Thumbs up In the most unsurprising news you might read today: Amazon are going to make a second season to their very popularFalloutTV show. That means one more season until weget Liam Neeson, right? The live-action Fallout series dropped a week ago, and quickly blew up into one of the biggest and best video game adaptations to date. From my own travels around the internet, it seemed to leavepretty much everyone pleased: people who’d never heard of Fallout before and seemed to appreciate it as enjoyable prestige television, Fallout fans who felt it was a faithful vision of the series’ gruelling post-apocalypse and critical political commentary (even if it’s perhaps a little lighter on that side than the post-Fallout 2wasteland hijinks), and Todd Howard, who can now presumably build his own massive underground vault and fill it full of the cash made fromeveryone wanting to play Fallout again....
Some insights from Massive’s Julian Gerighty on negotiating with Lucasfilm Star Wars: Outlawsisn’t just anopen worldretread of existing Star Wars locations, like Tatooine. What’s it like adding a whole bloody world to Star Wars?...
