It might be the best remaster mod ever made Along with new high-res textures, the mod tweaks many 3D models for more detail, remakes the UI in high-res form, redoes pre-rendered cutscenes, fixes some visual glitches Capcom had left in, improves lighting and shadows in places, and does more work to make it look better. The mod brings technical improvements too, such as better widescreen support. It even (optionally) restores visual effects like the depth-of-field blur present in the original release but absent in later versions....

A PCIe 4.0 SSD with some serious sibling rivalry Western Digital are continuing their charge into high-speed PCIe 4.0 SSDs with the WD Black SN770. This is pretty straight down the middle as far as Gen 4 SSDs go: the 1TB model I’ve tested claims sequential speeds up to 5150MB/s for reads and 4900MB/s for writes, enough to embarrass any PCIe 3.0 SSD without veering into mega-enthusiast territory. There’s a broad range of capacities too, starting at 250GB and ending at a roomy 2TB....

“Extensive fixes” based on player feedback In ablog post, senior producer Ryan McArthur outlines the updates coming most imminently. That includes changes tothe in-round scoreboard revealed a couple of weeks ago. Player profiles will aim to give a better overview of “how far you have to go for your next unlock”, and voice comms will… exist. Continuing the love of loops, the post outlines a new “feedback loop” for the dev team to communicate to players, which boils down to: Dice will say what they’re working on, listen to feedback, then say how they’ve changed what they’re working on in response to said feedback....
