It’s finally on PC, and I won’t finish it I dig this setup. I was so happy when our boy was introduced as Francis Zach Morgan, reflecting his acceptance of himself and his trauma at the end of the first game, then it’s gutting to see how badly his life has apparently gone since then. I’m interested in the conspiraces of this Louisiana town ruled by a merciless criminal family. The murder case is a curious one I want to see solved, and I think I’ve caught a few hints about future revelations....

This SEO nightmare is being developed by BitLoom, the team behind colourful yet somehow unsettling puzzle game Phogs, and it’s about racing down sand dunes on trays. As the trailer says, “the world ended… But the fun didn’t!”, and I guess winning a dune race would take your mind off the unending horror for a bit....

Melancholy spaceships are headed to Gamescom Homeworld 3, threequel to the OG melancholy spaceship strategy series, has been delayed into the first half of next year. The developers say they need more time to make the engine trails glow just right, and to make the derelict megastructures mega enough. We will apparently see more of the game in action this August, though. The official Homeworld Twitter account put out the news with the traditional image square:...

And it’s out very soon, on August 31st The trailer is a pitch-perfect hearkening back to the golden age hardboiled detective stories of the 1940s — complete with a black-and-white palette with just the occasional hint of colour to highlight the high-tech parts. High-tech because, despite its 20th century influences, this game is set quite far in the future, in 2262. It’s not exactly a nice vision of the world in 240 years' time, though, as the narrator is quick to point out that it’s riddled with “crime, conflict, and propaganda”....
