Final Fantasy 14's Island Sanctuary update will arrive on August 23rd

As part of Patch 6.2 As a non-player, the trailer forFinal Fantasy14’s Patch 6.2, Buried Memory, is indistinguishable from every other patch trailer. There’s enormous boss monsters, several types of void, an incongruous cat creature, Death maybe… Where it differs is that there are also a few glimpses of the Island Sanctuary, FFXIV’s new solo farming content. Watch it below ahead of the newly announced release date: August 23rd. If it’s farming you want, producer Naoki Yoshida showed the Island Sanctuary in-game for the first time during yesterday’s Letter From The Producer livestream....

Gothic 1 Remake's new trailer captures the atmosphere of the original

Or so I’m told Gothicwas one of those PC games I dismissed as being for nerds. Me? Jagged Alliance 3's new trailer shows a few seconds of the only feature I care about

Gimme that dynamic campaign map THQ Nordic announcedJagged Alliance 3during theirSeptember showcase last year. It’s only fitting that it returned during this year’s showcase, bringing a much more detailed trailer to show off how combat will work. I’m not hot onJagged Alliance, but there’s a lot to like in the trailer above. It’s neat that you can spend AP points to increase the accuracy of your shots; I like the sound of an enemy “mishap chance”, because mishaps are always fun; and there generally seems to be a lot of granularity, from how you pose your mercenaries (stand, crouch, prone), to what body parts they target, to what type of shot they’re taking (single, burst, auto, etc....

Outcast 2: A New Beginning gets a new trailer showing combat and jetpacks

Return to Adelpha Outcast 2: A New Beginningwasannounced last Septemberwith a cinematic trailer. We got a glimpse of the game itself this week, including jetpacking, combat, and Cutter Slade’s thick eyebrows. They’re as thick as slugs: Straight sequel Outcast:A New Beginninglooks to be making more concessions towards modernity, at least in terms of the slickness of its combat. There’s still plenty in the trailer above that makes clear it’s still Outcast, though....
