After months of fighting for the right to vote Quality assurance testers at Blizzard Albany, formerly Vicarious Visions, voted unanimously to unionise on Friday. The move comes after months of attempts by owners Activision Blizzard to scupper the union and makes the QA testers, under the name Game Workers Alliance Albany, the second team to unionise within the publisher. The National Labor Relations Board said there were 18 eligible voters in the election, with 14 voting yes on the union and no one voting against it....

National Labor Relations Board found no reason to invalidate the vote An appeal made by Activision Blizzard that blocked Blizzard Albany’s QA staff from unionising has been rejected by the US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).GIbizreport the publisher tried to argue that the entire staff of Blizzard Albany should vote on the unionisation effort rather than just the development studio’s QA team, but the NLRB disagree. The appeal was rejected on November 30th, as the NLRB found Activision Blizzard had raised “no substantial issues warranting review”....
