Ghost Bike, the upcoming cycling ‘em up fromNidhoggmakers Messhof, is now calledWheel World. The name change is designed to reflect some substantial changes to the game itself - and there’s a new trailer to show its current condition as a seemingly chill game about tinkering with bikes and riding them around pastel-coloured worlds. The main issue seems to be that “ghost bikes” are a thing in the real world, and the association no longer made sense as the game has changed....

Cicada Summer When I was little, I really liked what I saw of Shin chan, even if it was just largely flashes of his bare arse on Japanese TV. He seemed mischievous, a bit of a menace, and part of a fun family dynamic. Flash forward to now and I can only describe the lad as… jarring. At least, I think he’s an odd flag-bearer for a series of games where you live out a nostalgic, Japanese summer in the countryside....

Two hunts and two monsters to slay As detailedon the official site, the beta includes the game’s character creator and a couple of hunts. The first hunt is a story trial mode, in which you get to watch the opening cutscene, complete some tutorials, and hunt a Chatacabra. The second is a Doshaguma hunt. I’m not acquainted with the Chatacabra – a cursory wiki inspection reveals it to be a frog made of boulders - but I’m sadly familiar with the Doshaguma....
