Starfield mod unlocks the ability to build your own spacestations - "all of the code was already in the game"

You’ll need an outpost and a spare spaceship In smashing news for the galaxy’s irrational planet-haters, some adept tinkerer has created aStarfield modthat lets you build your own space-stations. Mind you, it appears the associated functionality was secretly part of Bethesda’s sci-fiRPGall along, perhaps destined to be unlocked by a DLC pack, like a slumbering fairytale royal awaiting true love’s kiss. The modder in question is vexthecollector, whose catchily-named Spacestations for Outposts lets you bolt together hab modules, windows and docking bays to fashion your very own Deep Space Nine....

The Headless in Sekiro is the only boss that legimitately terrifies me

I fear no boss, but that thing… Headless enemies aren’t exactly a new concept in games, so I’m not sure why the Headless inSekiro: Shadows Die Twiceinstills such dread in me. It’s so terrifying to face that I almost didn’t write this post, because I knew I’d have to drop into its heinous lair in order to take the screenshot you see above. But I’m a brave boy, so I dropped in, and of course died almost instantly....

The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria review: solid cozy survival fun for a group of pals

It’s janky, but in a sweet way rather than a game-breaking way I am sure an honest, self-respecting Tolkienian fantasy dwarf would, if I pinched his apple cheeks and told him he’s very endearing, he’d at best glare at me and at worst kneecap me with his axe. And yet! That’s a large part of what I enjoy about the new subterranean survival-craft-‘em-upThe Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria. It’s a slower, more weightysurvival gamethan you might be used to if you’re aValheimor ARK type, for example, and you’ll spend a lot of your time in the dark....

Here’s the full list of PC games which are impacted by the switch-off: “Decommissioning such services for older games is not something we take lightly, but is a necessity as the technology that drove those services has grown obsolete,” says theannouncement on Ubisoft’s site....

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is an ambitious, but potentially alienating open world jaw-dropper

Our thoughts after two hours with Ubisoft’s latest Back in June, when our Ed got a 30-minute hands-off glimpse ofAvatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, he hadsuspicionsthat Ubisoft’s next big open world-athon was hiding some dark, terrible secret beneath the surface. It was almost too good, and too lovely-looking to be completely true, he proposed, and the brief tour of this rather enormous-looking game wasn’t quite long enough to really dig beneath the surface to see if Ubisoft’s lofty promises would hold up to closer scrutiny....

Crytek will never "replace" Hunt Showdown with Hunt 2 the way Overwatch 2 did Overwatch 1

“Other products in the Hunt franchise” would be “brand extensions”, says general manager Crytek have no plans to make a sequel to sweaty monster-culling FPSHunt: Showdown, and will thus hopefully avoidthe publicity problemscurrently faced by Activision-Blizzard’sOverwatch 2and Valve’sCounter-Strike 2- both presented as sequels with fancier technology, but in practice, more like service-game content seasonsarbitrarily upgraded into replacements, with the ‘previous’ games,OverwatchandCounter-Strike: Global Offensive, being taken offline to avoid splitting the playerbase....

Get Corsair's 4000D Airflow PC case for just $80 after an Amazon discount

A nice $25 price cut versus its usual price. The 4000D Airflow is basically the younger brother of the 7000D Airflow that I use as my main work and gaming PC, which I’ve been really impressed with over the past year or so thanks to its temperatures, internal space and clean, modern design. The mesh-fronted case supports up to a 360mm AiO up front or 280mm on the top, and the 4000D Airflow comes with two 120mm fans pre-installed as well....
