LawBreakers is staging an unofficial comeback, five years after it (and its makers) shut down

The gravity-defying debut FPS from Cliff Bleszinski’s studio Five years afterLawBreakersshut down, we’re getting to play the gravity-defying multiplayer FPS again thanks to fans. LawBreakers was the first game from Boss Key Productions, a studio co-founded by Gears Of Wars lead designer Cliff Bleszinski, and it had delightful ultraviolence beneath its uninspiring genric look. Alas, it did not sell well. Boss Key closed less than a year after launch, and the game soon followed....

Pool Of Madness is pool by way of Lovecraft

I can only imagine someone said ‘Cue-thulhu’ by mistake and took it from there It’s not every day you get to use both the ‘sports’ and ‘horror’ tags for the same game.Pool of Madness, an upcoming eldritch pool game where your surroundings get more bizarre and maddening the longer you play, is the latest game to crowbar Lovecraft into a place where no Lovecraft existed previously. It’s also the latest game to make me, someone who’s ostensibly had enough Lovecraft for one lifetime think: actually, yes, go on then....

Fallout 4, New Vegas and 76 have more than doubled their players on Steam Crawl out through the fallout, baby! I’ve watched two episodes of Amazon’srecently releasedFalloutTV show, a series for and about Walton Goggins' rizz (a thing the kids say). I’ve been on the Goggins hype train for over a decade at this point, and it’s great that - oh sorry, I’m being told that the Fallout TV show is in fact about Bethesda’s post-nukepocalypseRPGseries of video games, and as such has given a massive player bump to said video games on Steam....

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder will launch in May and the demo is out now

2D platforming with snappy combat Among theonslaught of game trailersat the terribly named Triple-I Initiative was a release date forGestalt: Steam & Cinder. It’s a 2D platformer with a heavy dose of combat and a big upgrade tree, and there’s a demo available now. All I’ve wanted to play since Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is more metroidvanias. Gestalt, notably, does not use that genre name anywhereon its Steam page, though it’s among the user-defined tags....
